Configure Avalara Entity Use Code

Use entity use codes to apply exemptions in AvaTax. States and countries are organized by business type and exemption reason. Exemption reasons differ based on the country and state.

Home → Operations → Customer Profile → Edit a Customer Profile

Hover over Operations then click on Customer Profiles from the Main Menu.

Click on Manage from the Customer Profile menu.

Then simply Edit a Customer Profile that you would like to assign an Entity Use Code. From the Customer Profile simply scroll down to the bottom of the page to the area shown below.
